Director
Tricia Kennedy is a registered nurse (RN) with an extensive background in behavioral health and forensic psychology, including work with abused and neglected children, state hospital populations, and individuals involved in the criminal justice system. After visiting Uganda and beginning the journey of adopting two boys, she shifted her career to nursing in response to a clear need for frontline medical skills in underserved communities.
Tricia brings an integrated medical and behavioral health perspective to nonprofit governance, strengthening board oversight of clinical quality, ethics, patient safety, and evidence-based programming. She contributes a systems and population health lens that recognizes the intersection of medical care, mental health, and social determinants, along with sound judgment in risk management, crisis response, and a collaborative governance approach that supports ethical, locally respectful, and sustainable health initiatives.
