MISSING MY LEADERSHIP ROLE AT SCHOOL

Our students in Uganda have been writing essays as they continue learning remotely. We are happy to share their work. Please note student work is presented in its original content.

My name is Amina Kibone and I am in Grade Six. I miss school very much because of my leadership role at school. I am an office girl in charge of the head teacher’s office and other offices at school. It was my dream to become a leader and learn how leaders do their jobs.

With this post, I get chance to interact with all the administrators about different things. What is so interesting is the level of confidence I have gained while working in these offices of administrators. I have learnt to be careful and more responsible and honest not to take anything from any office without permission.

Most of the times, my head teacher tells me that I am a good girl and I am going to achieve my goals in life. Of course I have to work hard to achieve them.

I miss school because I cannot hold meetings with other prefects and plan for our school. I miss helping the little kids of Primary one.
