MY BEST TEACHER AT SCHOOL

Our students in Uganda have been writing essays as they continue learning remotely. We are happy to share their work. Please note student work is presented in its original content.

My name is Rose Namutosi. I am in Primary Three. My class teacher is Teacher John Bosco. He is a very good teacher. He has taught me to write neatly. I have the best handwriting in my class and at the beginning of this year, I got a present from the head teacher. My work was displayed in front of her office for other children to see and copy.

I have also learnt to read very well using sounds. My teacher tells me to try reading even difficult words using the sounds.

My teacher has also taught me to draw nice pictures. I enjoy drawing as I rest at home.

During school time, he takes us out for physical education. He gives us interesting exercises. We run, jump and skip ropes.

My teacher has been visiting me in the lockdown. He cares about my health. One time, he got me with a wound on my head. He decided to take me to Beatrice Tierney clinic for treatment. They treated me and now the wound has healed.

In class, I have a special desk where I sit to see the work on the chalkboard well. I love my teacher because he cares for me.

My performance in class is also very good. In my last exams, I was the tenth out of 53 students in my class. I want to study hard and become a teacher like my teacher to help more children. Thank you my good teacher!
